Networking Gala For Film Creatives

This year I hosted a Networking Gala for Film Creatives. I developed the idea after the pandemic and experiencing for myself how disconnected I was from like minded creative people. Being the social butterfly I am, I started to cultivate ideas for projects and help out friends with connecting with other industry professionals. As a result, I realized an event where people can network, speak about the work they are doing, and support the local film industry was a great idea.

The event took place on June 1st, at a local Vancouver bar called Isabelles. It was the perfect size venue as it was intimate yet had an exciting night life vibe to it. I partnered up with Ole cocktails which sponsored the event and invited all of the independent film companies in the area. The guest list consisted of actors, producers, cinematographers, photographers, sound design, writers, web designers, makeup artists and so much more.

I personally was able to meet so many talented individuals that I look forward to working with in the future. I believe that as much as this event helped me personally it was a great opportunity to inspire people, and give back to the film community I love so much.

I look forward to hosting many more events like this one as it was a huge success.
